Services

Sports Therapy 

Sports Therapy is aimed at helping an individual rehabilitate from an injury or help support someone who is suffering from a chronic musculoskeletal condition. It involves an individual plan that may involve strength work, taping and bracing or massage to get your health back to the best place possible. 

Orthotics

Orthotics is a branch of medicine in which an external device such as an insole, brace or splint is applied to the body for one of the following reasons;

- To improve or restore function and stability

- Decrease Pain

- To offload vulnerable areas of pressure

Dependent on the individual the device may be stock or custom to meet your medical needs.   

Personal Training 

These sessions are 1-1 or 2-1 maximum. They are aimed at developing a carefully programmed plan to help improve a persons strength and balance. With the aim to meet any personal fitness goals. 

Group Training

Group strength training sessions are delivered on a Sunday morning currently at the Old Joinery at 8am. Please message to check for availability.

The Thera Approach 

At Thera our goal is to improve your quality of life. Movement is a key part of maintaining a healthy body so when pain arrives it often inhibits your ability to move. Which in turn over time can have an affect on you physical and mental health.

When visiting the clinic a thorough assessment and detailed history is taken to determine the root cause of your issue. Should further investigation be required at this stage we will refer you to the appropriate service to gain more information. We will then talk you through our thought processes as to what the issue may be and the planning of treatment moving forward, you are central to your care. There will be no plan made about you without you.

From here a suitable healthcare plan will be developed be that sports therapy or orthotic intervention to meet your healthcare needs. We will then look to monitor you for as long as necessary and discharge you once you are back to good health.
